Communal Readings
18.09.2024
Library Session
The third Library Session focuses on the act of reading out loud and is open for the public. This session, like the last two, has the aim to share textual references from the residence as well as discover new references. This third edition we will specifically experiment with different forms of communal reading and the voice as a material.
Throughout the centuries the ‘communal reader’ transformed into the so-called ‘pseudo-autonomous’ reader: a silent individual reading body in public spaces like the library. Which kind of reading bodies are there and how do we shape them?
The Library Sessions are organized by Bo Wielders in collaboration with Ire.
