Anna-Marie Berdychová

Anna-Marie Berdychová (1994, Czech Republic) is an artist who operates in the fields of objects, sculptures, installations and photography. She often uses DIY and process-based techniques. Her interest lies in exploring the materiality of the artwork and utilizing the degradation of materials as a process for creating. Coming from the photography field has shaped her interest in impermanence.
For her residency at MORPHO, Anna-Marie will be researching ways of using degradable materials such as bioplastic with a focus on working with the found and disposed, pre-loved and forgotten. She will examine connections to the non-human and the micro-world, limitations and gateways of post-humanist theory.
Anna-Marie works as an artist duo with Samuel Stano with whom she exhibited numerous times. She attended Pilchuck Glass School (WA, USA) as an assistant. Her work was exhibited in House of Arts (Brno), ACUD Gallery (Berlin), No Moon (NY) and others.
