Paloma Bouhana
Resident
Paloma Bouhana (1992, France) is an artist based in Brussels who combines performance, video, scenography and costume design. Her artistic research is oriented towards blind spots in mainstream economics like radical equality, feminist ethics of care or the social relationship of value-labour.
In MORPHO, Paloma will work on the creation of a worker’s song celebrating the creative unemployable. With the dematerialisation of labour and post-workerism, what does the “multitude” of welfare recipients, non-workers, inactive and paperless artists sing in its process of becoming?
After a Master in Economics, Paloma graduated from the Design Academy of Eindhoven. Her work has been presented in Kunstverein Amsterdam, De Fabriek Eindhoven, Kunsthal Gent, the Nieuwe Instituut Rotterdam, and Pegs Brussels. She has been collaborating, as an exhibition designer, with artists like Rossella Biscotti, Laure Prouvost, Goda Palekaite and Philippine Hoegen.
