Tom Hallet

1990, Leuven, Belgium, is a Brussels based artist.

Tom Hallet has a multidisciplinary practice that mainly entails drawing and sculpture. His body of work takes the form of visual letters to queer pioneers, their violators, as well as family members and friends. By creating an eerie but intimate space for the spectator, Hallet offers new ways to question dominant narratives within history and introduces the possibility to revisit them.

He is one of the four founding members of SOIL Collective, a curatorial and artist collective. He has recently shown his work during Brussels Gallery Weekend, as part of Generation Brussels, in STEMS Gallery for the exhibition Digestive Disaster, Lucky Star, and was selected for the Prijs van de Vrienden v/h S.M.A.K. at S.M.A.K. in 2016.

Tom Hallet is invited to participate in the sixth edition of STRT Kit.
