What Stories Want — from a publication? is based on the idea of a ‘chapel of ease’, a convenient alternative for those who cannot reach the parish church. It is designed by D-E-A-L and edited by Laurens Otto. With contributions by: Che Go Eun, Chris Dupuis, Yasmine Eid-Sabbagh, Tom Hallet, Julia Dahee Hong, Béla Juttner, Laurens Otto, Evelyn Simons, Natasha Soobramanien, Joud Toamah, Marika Vandekraats, Remko Van der Auwera, and Michiel Vandevelde.
What Stories Want is an exhibition, a publication, and a public programme concluding the last edition of STRT Kit (2015-2020), a one-year development residency initiated by AAIR in collaboration with Kunsthal Extra City.
The publication was available for free during the exhibition, which runs from March 12th to April 4th 2021 at AAIR and Extra City.
