Joud Toamah

1992, Deir Ezzor, Syria, lives and works in Antwerp.

Joud Toamah is an interdisciplinary artist and graphic designer based in Antwerp. Her work is mainly based on a practice of collecting, studying, and engaging with photographic archives in digital and intimate contexts, exploring image circulation and activation through video and printmaking.

She obtained her BA in Graphic Design and MA in Visual Arts at Sint Lucas, Antwerp. She is involved in social cultural projects like Disarming Design from Palestine and Cinemaximiliaan, Brussels.

Joud Toamah is invited to participate in the sixth edition of STRT Kit.
