Coraline Guilbeau

MeetFactory is supporting the residency of Coraline Guilbeau, a Belgium-based artist going to Prague. MeetFactory is a non-profit international centre for contemporary art, operating the largest studio programme in Central Europe.

During the residency period, Coraline Guilbeau plans to draw inspiration from the environmental, human and cultural framework of the MeetFactory residency, to conceive a new performance written in-situ and interpreted on the location itself. The performance will try to track down stories, traces, ghosts of the places with the idea to form a living, oral, unconventional archive of this area.

Coraline Guilbeau (1991) creates immersive performances to feel the experience of a doubt about reality. Interested in notions of time, feelings of déjà-vu, what is out of focus, each project is contextual and is built from an encounter, a space, a given situation. She graduated with a Master degree at Ecole des Beaux-Art of Bordeaux (2014) and a Master degree at ERG Brussel (2016).
