Queer Gardening Session #3
30.03.2025
Garden Session
Artist Eline De Clercq organises a series of Queer Gardening Sessions as part of her research residency at MORPHO. In doing so, she will bid a gradual farewell to Gesamthof, a trans & lesbian garden that is ceasing to exist as the garden is being repurposed.
Wildflowers and plants from the garden will be distributed to the queer community to find a new home in other gardens. From January to October, several Sunday gardening sessions are planned to repot and take plants home.
This activity is aimed at the LGBTQIA+ community. As part of the sessions, there is a free tour (+- 45') of the garden, where you will learn more about the plants and their ecological value.
On the schedule for 30 March: 'Lots of Spring flowers will have appeared by now: little Dog violets, lesser Celandine and Crocus. Also early Summer flowers will come above ground: Salomon's seal, broad-leaved enchanter's nightshade, Clematis old man's beard, Alchemilla Xantochlora, Paris, Anchusa, Comfry...'
