Esth Fantuzzi
Resident
Esth Fantuzzi (1996, Italy) is an artist based in Brussels working with performance, analogue cinema, and writing. Their artistic research focuses on memory, voice, and the dialogue between past and present, navigating the boundaries between the visible and invisible. They develop performative work and lead collaborative 16mm film workshops exploring storytelling and collective memory.
At MORPHO, Esth will develop a performative glossary: a living dictionary of gestures, non-verbal sounds, and invented symbols. Rooted in their experience of vocal transition, the project explores how voice and identity can be reimagined through ventriloquism and collective movement. This shared vocabulary will emerge through experimental workshops and improvisation, inviting participants to create a new language beyond spoken norms.
Esth holds an MA in Audiovisual Arts from LUCA School of Arts and studied visual arts at IUAV in Venice, the Baltic Analog Lab in Riga, and Ca’ Foscari University. In 2024-2025 they presented their work at Hectolitre and n0dine studio in Brussels and performed in a production at Ocean Space in Venice. They have collaborated on different performances with artists such as Gaia Ginevra Giorgi, Johanna Gratzer, Giulia Rae, and Erro Rasker. They are also part of the core team of the Brussels Artist-Run Network (BARN).
