Che Go Eun presents a zine inspired by pornographic and religious iconography and cyberculture. Using techniques of collage, manga and AI-assisted writing, different obsessions are stapled on top of each other. Che Go Eun’s explorations reveal how culture is transmitted through religion, folklore, and pop symbols. Working in the language of comics creates a playing field where the workings of stereotypes (limiting or exaggerating identity) are laid bare.

Che Go Eun first presented this publication in the context of What Stories Want, an exhibition, public programme and publication concluding the last edition of the STRT Kit programme, a one-year development residency initiated by MORPHO in collaboration with Kunsthal Extra City and air Antwerpen.
