Reading the Moment

Workshop
Welcome at Reading the Moment, a voicing session by oracle during their residency at MORPHO, where we will listen and vocalise together, or 'vocally reading a space together'.
The oracle practice is used to voice individual concerns and, more importantly, to listen to each (an)other(s). The practice can offer space for grief, angst, doubts, ancestral or unconscious knowledge; making audible what usually remains hidden, but is nevertheless carried in the voice.
The practice has a protocol which allows it to be permeable to personal interest, question or need. Using vocal improvisation it is unique to the moment and context. Sometimes it unfolds as a form of protest, other times as mediation or telepathic connection.
“Let yourself be led by the tongue, the throat, the lungs and lower too.
Possession ? No. Guidance, maybe. Detour, for sure. It comes and goes and I follow, high and low, solo. Figuring, trembling, holding, the faraway so near, the finger, the elbow, the knee, the toe, it draws, it calls back, I hear, I speak, or at least I voice.”
No vocal skills required. You will be guided through a vocal and physical warm up and be introduced to the oracle practice and their research.
→ There is space for 15 people, sign up by filling in the form!
