Open Office
17.07.2023
Open Office is committed to meeting and sharing knowledge between artists, artworkers and art organizations from various disciplines. In a monthly open and informal meeting, we exchange thoughts on a variety of themes related to 'working in the arts'. Every 3rd Monday of the month, a partner network of Antwerp art organisations invites artists and art collaborations from 12h to 15h in one of their locations.
The next Open Office Antwerp will take place on Monday 17 July at MORPHO and Kunsthal Extra City.
-
From 12h onwards, everyone is welcome in the Kloostertuin, a rare green oasis in the city centre. Entrance via Ploegstraat 25, 2018 Antwerp.
-
At 12h30, Eline De Clercq will give a guided tour of the De Gesamthof, part of the monastery garden.
Eline started this art-nature project in 2019 as a botanical archaeology to recover lost plants. After corona, it evolved into the Gesamthof, A Lesbian garden, an inclusive garden for ecological restoration. Inspired by books by ecofeminists and other writers, such as Anna Tsing, Donna Haraway, Robin Wall Kimmerer, Jamaica Kincaid, Virginia Woolf, the garden grew into a pioneer garden with a diversity of botanical plants from all over the world.
The gesamthof is a safe space for nature and a starting point for conversations about diversity, responsibility, representation, origins, among others.
- From 13h30 onwards, there will be room for other questions and informal knowledge exchange.
