Antwerp Art Closing Party 2025

On Sunday 1 June, Kunsthal Extra City and MORPHO are once again hosting the official closing party of Antwerp Art Weekend, a beloved tradition to end the weekend in style. As all other participating venues close their doors at 18:00, we welcome you from 18:00 to 23:00 in our atmospheric monastery garden for an open-air evening of music, drinks, food, and dancing in the heart of Antwerp.

Falafel King will be serving up delicious bites from 18:00 onwards, so come early, grab some food, and settle in for the night.

The musical vibe will be set by Sopa do Dia, the DJ and radio project of Joke Leonare and Luís Pedro. Expect an eclectic, intuitive mix of styles and moods—a sultry, immersive soundtrack that resists genre labels but always hits the right note.

Admission is free and everyone is welcome—whether you're coming for the music, the company, or simply to end your Antwerp Art Weekend on a memorable high.

Sopa do Dia is the collaborative project of Joke Leonare and Luís Pedro, two artists with backgrounds in music, sound, and visual art. Joke first gained recognition as part of the synth duo Mittland Och Leo and later co-founded the label Jj funhouse. She has designed record sleeves and hosted radio shows on NTS, Kiosk, Dublab, and WAV. Luís is a passionate record collector and club enthusiast whose sound collages draw on field recordings, spoken word, and found sound, often reflecting his visual art practice. He has appeared on Rádio Baixa, RUC, and WAV. As Sopa do Dia, they take an open and intuitive approach to music—prioritizing feeling over genre and creating rich, immersive sets for dance floors and airwaves alike.
